This drum masterclass will provide a deep dive into hand technique and foot technique, the bedrock of any strong drummer’s foundation.
Whether you’re a beginner struggling with basic single strokes or an advanced player seeking double pedal mastery, this class will equip you with the tools to elevate your playing to new heights.

- Posture and Ergonomics: Setting yourself up for success with proper posture and pedal positioning to maximise power and efficiency.
- Pedal Technique: Mastering the heel-up, heel-down, and combination strokes for clean, controlled single strokes with dynamic control.
- Hand Techniques: The four fundamental strokes for developing maximum control speed, power and endurance.
- A special section on the Moeller technique for total dynamic control.
- Developing Speed and Power: Unlocking the secrets to efficient hand and footwork for faster playing without sacrificing accuracy.
- Double Pedal Techniques: Introduction to the art of double bass drumming. The three main muscle groups used in bass drum playing and how to develop them (even if you don’t own a double pedal)!
- Practice Strategies: Effective practice routines to solidify your footwork and develop muscle memory.
- Q&A Session: Get your burning foot technique questions answered by the instructor.

Your Instructors:

Mark Smith is a professional drummer with 30 years experience. He has performed and recorded with extreme metal acts such as Arorior and Spearhead, as well as performing clinics with Mark Mondesir, Craig Blundel, Mel Gaynor and many others. He runs Drumnosis drum tuition.

Felipe Drago is a professional drummer since 1987, took part in many tours in Brazil some regions of Argentina, south of the USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal and France. In 1992 started his activities as a drum teacher. Since then has amassed a wealth of experience teaching from beginners to professionals, from children to seniors.
