Registration is now open for this year’s summer school at MLC Nottingham!
Returning after a three-year hiatus brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual summer school at MLC Nottingham returns with a jam-packed itinery. Those attending will have a fun and diverse week. Activities include:
- Record music and sound for film
- Sound design for film
- Learn some great Music Production techniques
- Band Camp rehearsals
- Create a Vlog and/or Podcast about their experience
- Perform to parents/friends in a mini concert at the end of the week
Dates
The MLC Nottingham Summer school will run from Monday 8th August – Friday 12th August 2022 (inclusive) between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm.
Who can attend
This exciting summer school is open to anyone between the ages of 8 and 16.
Do attendees need to be able to play a musical instrument?
No. Youngsters who attend can take part in music production, podcasting and vlogging. None of these exciting activities require any previous musical knowledge.
Are teachers at the MLC DBS checked?
Yes. All of our teachers are DBS checked and have undertaken safeguarding training. See our governance page for further details.
Where is the summer school held?
The summer school is held at MLC West Bridgford which is located above Abbey Road Music in West Bridgford.
Cost
The MLC Nottingham 2022 summer school costs £300.00 per student (£150.00 per additional sibling).

The MLC Nottingham 2022 summer school will run Monday – Friday (dates above) from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
