GENERAL QUESTIONS

Lesson fees are payable in advance by monthly subscription on the 1st of each month.
A covering payment may be added to your first instalment for any remaining classes this month.
You can book your preferred slot through the Class or Kids links and follow the steps to set up your regular payment. If you would like 60 minute lessons simply book two consecutive 30 minute slots following the same steps.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Centre if you can’t find what you need.

In general we don’t offer trial lessons. We believe you need a number of lessons to really know if you or your child is going to enjoy the tuition. In addition it is the amount of practice done in between lessons that is vital to understanding if this is something to continue with.
Every student will always enjoy a trial lesson because we have engaging positive teachers who will always be excited about the potential of a new starter. But the long term question will still be there after a trial or two.
If you would like to come and visit our centre. You are more than welcome and we may be able to arrange for a quick chat with a particular teacher.

You can start lessons without purchasing an instrument but because practice is needed at home, we recommend you have one within a month or two. Please let us know if you need help with recommendations for instruments.

If you are starting in September, the monthly payment covers 42 lessons over the 52 weeks of the academic year with 10 weeks (usually the academic holidays) without lessons. This is an average of 3.5 lessons per month but varies over the months depending on Christmas and other academic holidays. During the school holidays we are open for a limited number of days which can be used to catch up any lessons that needed to be rearranged (except for Christmas and some of the Summer period when we are closed)

Each Centre will publish their own academic calendar, starting in September.

Yes, you can start later in the year and would therefore have fewer lessons to take before the end of August. You can start any month of the year. As examples,

  • a student starting in January would have 28 lessons over 35 weeks to complete before the end of August.
  • a student starting in April would have 18 lessons over 22 weeks to complete before the end of August

So long as you notify your teacher 48 hours in advance of the lesson, we will rearrange to another suitable day and time. If you know further in advance you can chat with your teacher in person to arrange the catch-up lesson.

It is quickest to email your teacher directly but if you need to please ring your centre’s main phone number to speak with us or leave a voicemail. We reserve the right to charge for the lesson but it is at the teacher’s discretion to offer an alternative time or day should they wish to. If an online lesson is a suitable alternative then we can also offer that at your usual time.

We need at least 4 week’s notice of you leaving. Once you email us with confirmation you are leaving, we will carry out an audit of all lessons taken and all payments made and inform you if any lessons are outstanding. We will cancel the payment from our end.
