Discover The mlc method

By enrolling at the MLC, you’ll discover how our unique and industry-leading education Method will help you to unleash your potential.

Whether you’re learning for fun or accreditation, the MLC Method not only gets you playing straight away, following a structured pathway of progressive mastery, but it provides professional performance opportunities, and support from our revolutionary digital learning platform, all whilst mastering some of the most iconic tracks from the world of contemporary music.

PERFORMANCE-BASED MUSIC EDUCATION

Whether you’re starting out or sharpening up, having the opportunity to perform live is one of the most valuable experiences for any musician—ask any that you know, and they’ll confirm that just one gig can help you improve more than hundreds of hours practising on your own.

That’s why we encourage our students to participate in our regular performance opportunities, either locally or in our state-of-the-art facilities in Nottingham. By joining the Music Learning Collective, you’ll quickly discover that all tastes, genres, styles, ages and abilities are welcome!

Check out our social channels to see some of our incredible students performing live on stage.

If you are starting in September, the monthly payment covers 42 lessons over the 52 weeks of the academic year. There are occasionally bank holidays or other reasons the school is not open and the teacher will arrange a catch-up lesson or to attend on an alternative day.

Yes, you can start at the beginning of any month and a covering payment may be added to your first instalment for any remaining classes this month. We will add lessons if needed to make sure you get the correct amount of lessons before the academic year ends. This is usually with a double lesson or catch-up lessons during the holidays.

It is quickest to email your teacher directly but if you need to please ring your centre’s main phone number to speak with us or leave a voicemail. We reserve the right to charge for the lesson but it is at the teacher’s discretion to offer an alternative time or day should they wish to.

Once you email us with confirmation you are leaving, we will carry out an audit of all lessons taken and all payments made and inform you if any lessons are outstanding. We will cancel the payment from our end.
