Chetwynd Spencer Academy, a member of the Spencer Academy Trust, partners with MLC Derby.

The MLC prides itself on delivering high-quality music lessons and courses in a variety of settings. Chetwynd Spencer Academy requested that the MLC Derby team deliver provision during school hours to the student cohort on a one-to-one basis. Gemma Whiley, head of music said;

Our children absolutely love the opportunity to learn piano and guitar in school. At Chetwynd, we aim to nurture a lifelong love of music and the MLC are providing such a positive introduction to this experience in a patient and encouraging manner. Our children genuinely look forward to their lessons each week.

MLC Derby is able to ringfence funds for the school music department to purchase musical instruments. This is made possible due to the MLC school and college partnership programme.
